Southern Star Shines on the Southside
|
The Southern Star took shape from the shared vision of Rick and Nancy Adams for
a restaurant coupling tasteful, fresh-daily dishes with an emphasis on southern
cuisine and welcoming hospitality to match. After nearly four years of success in
small-town southern Georgia, the Adamses set their sites on mid-sized southern cities
and in October of 2000, they sank the Star's roots into Chattanooga's rapidly
revitalizing Southside.
Rick and Nancy's goal remains unchanged: Great food and service in a fun atmosphere.
Just as when they turned on the first burner more than a decade ago, every sauce,
soup, dressing, and side is made fresh daily in the Southern Star's kitchen using
only the best quality ingredients.

Southern Star Take-Away is the Signal Mountain food shop offering the same great-tasting
favorites you enjoy at our Southside restaurant - plus, some exciting new dishes.
Every Weekday, select from a variety of homemade salads, sandwiches, soups, quiche
and our Blue Plate Special.
Evenings, our cases are filled with entrees and side dishes prepared for easy pick-up
and re-heating, including: meatloaf, chicken casseroles, lasagna, enchiladas, jambalaya,
ribs, pork tenderloin and much much more.
Of course, there's always a wide range of sweets, including our famous banana pudding.
Desserts change daily to include cakes, pies, cookies, bread puddings, crme brulee,
quick breads, brownies and more.
